FL is not a finished product to be pirated after it is complete, like an album or a film. When the new versions come out, I know they are as good as they are due in part to my investment, and I know people are benefitting from me spending money when they have not.

Primarily though, stability and functionality in the software comes from development by the small team behind FL, for which they need money. Plus as an FLMobile user the official version works, whereas the torrented version often does not.
Things I couldn't get sorted on third party boards tend to get quickly resolved on IL's forum. Don't underestimate the support from IL either. I've found legit FL to be more stable over a long enough time frame.

It's a bit unfortunate for me since I really love using slide a lot, but there is a workaround you have to load the patch in the demo version and then render out the sound that has the sliding.Īnd as SupertomSeven commented make sure you go through your projects and replace the native Fruity Generator versions with the VST versions so you don't lose all your presets. The only lost functionality seems to be in Right Clicking (Eg for setting up automation faster) and also the Slide function in the piano roll.

If there is no work around then I will be perfectly content to continue having full access to everything for free. So basically what I am saying here is, if I am going to lose access to the cracked versions of all the stuff I have that is already installed on my computer when I get the legit version of FLS, I will have to reconsider if I am to buy anything at all. Specifically, ones that are difficult to find a torrent of.
If wanted to spend an extra 300 bucks I would prefer to go for some sample packs. Add in conversion from Canadian currency and I'm really getting reamed here. Nearly 40 bucks for a borderline defunct Soundfont player? Rofl, Gol please.
So to be frank, while the core software has an exceptional price performace ratio with the free updates for life on top of being cheaper than most other DAWs, the rest of Image-Line's plugins bar Harmor are pretty damn overpriced for what they do. I am not someone who spends any amount of money frivolously. I would have to throw in nearly 300 bucks more to get the things I use regularly, and that's with the 'Value Plugin Bundle' discount. However just because I am willing to pay the 200 bucks to get the Producer edition does not mean I want to lose access to the Image-Line plugins that I like and currently use that are not bundled with any edition of FLS. I have used FL Studio for several years now and am seriously considering purchasing a proper copy of it. Let's all just try to be mature for a moment here. Because let's be honest, a good number of you definitely did not shell out the couple hundred on the program yourselves.
